Sandesh is a business builder who has spent his career taking new verticals from zero to operating scale. Most recently, he was in Business Growth at Scapia, where he scaled the category fourteen times and rebuilt the user acquisition funnel. Before that, he founded Wysa, a startup where he built the product and tested GTM before hitting the ceiling on fundraising.
His most detailed zero-to-one story is at Leverage Edu, where he was brought into the Founder's Office with a vague mandate: build a new business vertical, make it cashflow positive, diversify from core, and do something with visas. He had no travel background. In his first month, he went to Nehru Place, sat with travel agents and suppliers, and identified the three variables that determined whether a B2B visa business would win: price, supply, and turnaround time. He cracked two in month one and spent the next several months unlocking the third, which required negotiating with India's largest visa supplier to waive their deposit requirement and open an account. Once all three were in place, he hired a distributed field team across Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Indore, and Delhi, trained the operations manager by doing the work himself first, and built the vertical to 5,000 applications a month, 3 crore GTV, and PAT positive.
Earlier in his career, Sandesh managed enterprise accounts at IBM and ran B2C sales at BYJU's, building the commercial instincts he would later apply to building businesses from scratch. He also spent three years as Manager of Ad Sales at an EdTech company, deepening his experience in B2B revenue and partnership development.
Sandesh is now looking to work closely with a founder who has cracked the GTM and fundraising challenges he encountered at Wysa, with the goal of building toward his own entrepreneurship again in the next five to six years.
