Investment Banking at JM Financial

At JM Financial, Swagnik worked as an investment banking analyst covering consumer and consumer technology transactions. He built investment memoranda end to end, running industry research, competitive positioning, valuation analysis using transaction comps and listed peers, and financial modelling on the Bloomberg terminal simultaneously.

He learned to sequence parallel work streams by dependencies, keeping narrative sections of a memorandum moving while model assumptions were being finalized, so no workstream blocked another. The transactions he worked on closed successfully.

Operations and Leadership at Vaayu Fest

As Head of Security at Vaayu Fest, Swagnik managed a department of sixty first-year students across an eight-to-ten month preparation cycle and a three-day live event at JVPT Grounds in Mumbai. He personally handled all legal permissions from the BMC, Mumbai Police, and fire department, navigating bureaucratic friction as a college student to secure every required clearance.

When a near-stampede situation developed at one of the entry gates, he moved into the crowd himself, deployed a rapid reallocation of his team, and stabilized the situation without incident. He identified and developed five senior members from within his team to lead sub-groups, selecting them based on demonstrated performance across fundraising and security tasks over the preceding months.
