Rishal Naik is a risk analyst with close to three years at Futures First, a proprietary trading firm operating across energy, commodities, metals, and interest rate markets on more than ten global exchanges.
He currently sits within the central risk monitoring and control team, covering both operational and market risk for a firm of over 1,500 market analysts. His mandate spans trade reconciliation, VAR modeling, margin analytics, and real-time market monitoring.
He built Python-based dashboards that replaced manual Excel workflows across the team, freeing up capacity for the research and risk analysis that the role actually demands.
He independently designed and validated a Monte Carlo VAR model using energy markets as a case study, stress-testing portfolios against geopolitical and supply-shock scenarios and presenting the framework to senior leadership.
Outside his day job, he tracks India's fintech ecosystem closely, pulling public data to model UPI adoption curves, market sizing, and the role of AI in reshaping the sector.
