Here are broad details on the FMEP Project. There are 2 elements to the program: 1. *Portfolio Management*: During the course of the program, you’ve to actively follow companies on the Bombay Stock Exchange through the BSE 500 index and have to build, manage and maintain a real-time practice, virtual investment portfolio on the stock simulator on finlatics.com. This practice investment portfolio will not be judged on returns but we would be assessing it on how *mutual funds* are assessed - by linking then to the index, akin to *asset management companies*. We would be comparing your portfolio to the BSE500 index and giving you a score on a 100 point scale. 2. *Research*: The program also comprises of an 8-week research project, where you’ve to cover any two sectors of the Indian economy and author detailed equity research on companies. You have to author 6 research reports - in which 2 would be sectoral coverage and 4 would be company specific coverage.
