Kushal Shah is a backend software engineer with over four years of experience building and operating production SaaS systems. He specializes in multi-tenant platform architecture, permission systems, and procurement workflows, with hands-on ownership across backend, infrastructure, and database design.

He is currently a Software Engineer at Workwise, where he leads backend engineering on a multi-tenant hospitality procurement platform serving more than 20 hotel chains and 40,000 users.

At Workwise, he joined as one of the first three engineers and grew into the lead engineer for the hospitality platform. He architected the RBAC and ABAC permission system, designed the extensible approval workflow engine, and built the full RFQ-to-purchase-order procurement lifecycle from scratch.

He also led the platform's migration from MongoDB to PostgreSQL to meet client compliance and AWS infrastructure requirements, and integrated external ERP systems to support hybrid data workflows.
