About Profound
Professional presence online is still static: a profile, a connection request, a feed nobody curates.
Profound is building an AI Representation platform that acts as a genuine extension of a professional's presence, capability, and network, starting with the top 1%.
Founded by Anuj Rathi and Prashant Parashar, who have known each other for twelve years and bring a combined forty-plus years across product strategy, growth, entrepreneurship, and deep engineering. Anuj has built and scaled consumer products at Cleartrip, Swiggy, and Jupiter with an emphasis on craft, taste, and real user growth. Prashant brings first-principles engineering and the resilience to ship AI systems in a landscape that shifts weekly.
Twelve people today, eight of them engineers, well funded, and building from Bengaluru for the world.
About the Role
Profound is building an AI Representation platform that acts as a genuine extension of a professional's presence, capability, and network, starting with the top 1%.
The Chief of Staff is the default owner for all things Profound. Think of it as the switch-case-default in code: when a project needs a lead, when a process needs to exist, when an external relationship needs to be managed with care, this is the seat that picks it up. You will move across product, marketing, operations, and business development. You will interface with customers, investors, agencies, partners, and recruiters. You will work directly with both founders, every day.
The first thirty days are about quick wins and earned trust: own two or three streams, show impact fast, and build the confidence that the company can now take on far more than it could before. The first year is about building the execution layer that compounds.
What You'll Own
- The default queue. Every project the founders flag that does not yet have an owner lands with you. You triage, prioritize, and either run it yourself or recruit the right internal person to support it.
- Contracts and external relationships. Closing contracts, managing agency relationships, investor communications, and partner conversations with the care and follow-through of a founder.
- The fundraising deck and investor narrative. You sharpen the story, keep the data current, and make sure the deck is ready to send at any moment.
- The first HR and ops playbooks. No playbook exists today. You write the ones the company runs: hiring process, onboarding, internal rituals, operational cadences.
- Go-to-market execution. When a GTM motion needs rigor, you are the person who builds the process, holds the numbers, and runs it day in and day out.
- Cross-functional rallying. You bring structure to ambiguity, communicate the plan crisply, and get the team rowing in the same direction without authority, through clarity and trust.
- The confidence multiplier. Your presence means the company can say yes to more. You earn the right to take on additional streams by finishing the ones you already hold.
You'll Be A Great Fit If
- You've brought structure to genuine ambiguity. In consulting, in ops, or inside a fast-scaling company, you walked into a situation with no playbook and built one that held.
- You communicate with the pyramid principle as instinct, not technique. Lead with the recommendation, then the reasoning, then the evidence. Decks, docs, Slack messages: everything you write is crisp and structured.
- You've owned a function or a P&L stream end to end. Pricing, promotions, customer support, operations: somewhere you held a number and delivered against it with full accountability.
- You've worked at a company where 18-hour days were sometimes the cost of building something real. Swiggy, Razorpay, Blinkit, Ola, or a place with that same intensity. You chose it, and you thrived.
- Your instinct is consultative, not directive. You build relationships fast, understand context before prescribing, and rally people through clarity rather than authority. Think Bain or BCG energy, not top-down mandates.
- You are self-motivated to the point of being founder-like. You do not wait to be told what to do. You see the gap, you fill it, and you hold yourself to a bar higher than anyone else would set for you.
- You have the analytical depth of a consulting-trained mind. Frameworks, data, structured problem-solving: these are your defaults, not your stretch skills.
- You are ambitious and looking for slope, not comfort. You may not have found your feet in a titled role yet, but the trajectory is unmistakable. You want a seat where your ceiling is set by your output, not your tenure.
How We Work
- Own it like a founder. Every person at Profound holds their work as if the company were theirs. The Chief of Staff sets that standard.
- Start with the answer. Pyramid principle in everything: recommendation first, reasoning second, evidence third. If the first sentence does not land, rewrite it.
- Bring structure, not noise. Walk into a room with a point of view, a plan, and the data to back it. Ambiguity is the starting condition; structure is what you add.
- Communicate like it matters. Decks, docs, Slack, a five-minute standup: every format gets the same standard of clarity. Sloppy communication is a disqualifier.
- Be consultative, not bossy. Earn trust before you prescribe. Understand the context, build the relationship, then move the room.
- Execute to the T. Good enough is a decision, not a habit. When you commit to a goal, you hit it. Projects finish; they do not fade.
- Take on more than seems possible. A twelve-person company competes with teams three times its size. That only works if every person, especially this one, operates at a multiplier.
