About Perflo
Perflo is building the infrastructure layer that lets AI agents handle money safely. The bet is that as agents take on more financial tasks, the trust, guardrails, and controls that govern those transactions need to be purpose-built for machines, not adapted from systems designed for humans.
The product is a secure, auditable money-movement layer for companies deploying AI agents at scale. It sits between the agent and the transaction, enforcing safety checks and trust at every step.
Perflo is pre-seed, backed by prominent investors including the founder of Product Hunt, and led by Yeshu, a multi-time entrepreneur and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree.
About the Role
As the Founding Product Designer at Perflo, you will own the design function end to end: from building the design language and system from scratch to shaping the product workflows that will take Perflo to its next stage.
You will define the visual and interaction foundation, drive product design across the core platform, and extend your output to motion and marketing when the moment calls for it. The role asks for strong product design craft, genuine AI-tool fluency, and the range to cover whatever design surface the company needs.
You will work directly with Sharad, the founder, and the engineering team.
What You'll Own
- The design system and language. Build Perflo's unified design foundation: tokens, components, patterns, and the consistency layer the product runs on.
- Product design across the core platform. Own interaction design for the agentic money-movement product, from flows to final screens, shipped hands-on.
- Motion and creative output. Bring motion design judgment to product moments and marketing assets when the roadmap calls for it, using AI tools to move fast.
- AI-native design workflows. Define how design gets done at Perflo: the tools, the process, and the feedback loops between design and engineering.
- Marketing and social creatives. Produce the visual output that represents Perflo externally, from decks to social media assets, as a single IC.
You'll Be A Great Fit If
- Built a design system from a blank slate. You have defined tokens, components, and patterns for a product that had none, and the team shipped from it.
- Designed for complex, technical products. You have owned interaction design on a product where the underlying logic was non-trivial and the user needed to trust it.
- Fluent in AI-native design tools. You use AI tools as a core part of your workflow, not as an occasional shortcut, and you track what is emerging.
- Covered multiple design surfaces as a solo contributor. You have moved between product, motion, and marketing design in a single role without losing quality on any of them.
- Thrived in a high-iteration, pre-PMF environment. You have worked in a setting where the product changed fast and treated that as the interesting part.
- Generated options when the brief was thin. When direction was unclear, you produced two or three distinct directions and drove the conversation forward.
How We Work
- Ship options, not blockers. When the brief is unclear, produce two or three directions and bring them to the table; momentum matters more than waiting for perfect clarity.
- Stay curious about what is new. The tools and the category are both moving fast; the team expects you to track both and bring what you find back to the work.
- Iterate without attachment. The product will change, sometimes significantly, in a short window; treat each revision as signal, not setback.
- Work hands-on at every layer. There is no handoff culture here; you take a problem from brief to shipped output yourself.
- Take feedback as fuel. Design reviews are direct; the expectation is that you absorb the input, act on it fast, and come back sharper.
- Cover the surface the company needs. At this stage, the design need shifts week to week; show up for whatever it is.
The Opportunity
Cash compensation of ₹37.5L to ₹50L per year, with flexibility for the right person. ESOPs are part of the package, on a four-year vesting schedule, with specifics discussed at offer stage. You report directly to the founder and own the entire design function. The role gives you the product design mandate of a company building infrastructure for a category that does not fully exist yet.
