Vipul identified that EZ's HR team was working with fragmented data spread across multiple Google Forms and Excel files, making it difficult to track retainership, attrition, retention rates, and payroll in any consistent way.
The Story
Vipul identified that EZ's HR team was working with fragmented data spread across multiple Google Forms and Excel files, making it difficult to track retainership, attrition, retention rates, and payroll in any consistent way.
He consolidated the scattered data sources by organizing them into structured folders and connecting them via Power Query into a single Power BI workbook. Within the workbook, he built separate dashboards for payroll, HR compliance, and daily team activities, with filters calibrated to each use case.
The key design decision was to make the dashboards self-updating. The HR team could update the underlying data themselves, and the dashboards would refresh automatically without requiring Vipul's involvement. The infrastructure gave the team ongoing visibility without creating a dependency on him to maintain it.
