The Story
During her internship at Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Tanvi worked on a research project examining how mutual fund investment behavior had shifted in the post-COVID period.
She analyzed over 1,000 data points to map the behavioral shift, looking at how investor preferences, risk appetite, and allocation patterns had changed since the pandemic. The research required structuring large volumes of data into a coherent analytical framework before any conclusions could be drawn.
In parallel, she conducted an in-depth analysis of more than 2,500 mutual fund schemes to support diversified portfolio construction. This involved evaluating scheme characteristics, risk-return profiles, and sector exposures across a wide universe.
She also performed structural analysis on 25-plus growth-oriented schemes, assessing their risk and return dynamics in the context of the post-COVID market environment.
The work gave her a grounding in how public market capital flows behave at scale, and how behavioral data can inform portfolio strategy.
