The Story
Tamilarasi was brought onto a pricing analysis project focused on the Australian automotive market as part of a broader APAC strategy consulting engagement at Frost & Sullivan. The brief required collecting vehicle pricing data directly from distributors in the region, a task that demanded both market mapping and direct field outreach.
She started by structuring the distributor landscape: identifying who the key players were, categorizing them by tier, and building a contact list with email addresses and website details. This gave the team a clear picture of the market before any outreach began.
With the list in hand, she reached out to each distributor individually, gathering pricing details through direct contact. She then collated all collected data into a structured model, organizing it in a way that made the pricing picture legible for the senior consultant working on the analysis.
Her final step was synthesizing what the data showed: pulling out the key patterns and presenting a clear summary before handing it off. The senior consultant used her numbers directly as inputs into the pricing analysis model.
