The Story
CodeRabbit's billing system had a structural limitation: users who needed to edit their billing details or change their plan were redirected out of the platform to Chargebee's hosted pages. The experience was disjointed, and the team wanted to bring those interactions inside the product.
Suyank owned the integration. He connected Chargebee's APIs to CodeRabbit's backend, pulling billing data and plan information into the platform's own data layer, then surfaced it through a new billing UI built in-house. Users could now update contact and billing details and change their subscription plan without leaving the platform.
To validate the new experience, the team ran A/B tests using PostHog on the billing summary page, testing different layouts and flows to understand what users responded to before committing to a final design.
The work was collaborative: Suyank worked with other engineers on the backend integration and frontend implementation, while the design system he had built earlier provided the component foundation for the new billing UI.
