The Story

As part of the annual strategy process at Aurionpro, Sejal was asked to size the market opportunity to give leadership a grounded sense of what was actually available to the business.

She built the analysis from the bottom up. The core equation multiplied total infrastructure units per industry by capacity and average product price, producing a TAM figure of approximately $500 million. She cross-checked this against published industry reports from central authorities and major consulting firms, and the figures triangulated closely, giving her confidence in the methodology.

From the TAM, she worked down to the SAM by applying filters for the segments Aurionpro could realistically reach, and then to the SOM by accounting for the company's actual product capabilities and competitive position. The final output was a $10 million realistic target, which was handed directly to the sales team as their planning anchor.

The exercise also reinforced the industry-product prioritization work: the SOM analysis made explicit which segments were within reach and which required capability investment first.
