His role spanned all three layers: pulling the underlying data, generating the analytical narrative, and authoring the final document. He worked directly with the IC's requirements, structuring the narrative around what the leadership wanted to communicate to investors.
One recurring challenge was presenting periods where returns did not meet LP expectations. In those cases, he worked with the IC to lead with metrics that were genuinely strong, such as impact indicators or specific portfolio company performance, while keeping the full picture intact. The framing shifted the narrative without altering the underlying data.
The reports went directly to senior LP audiences and were used by the IC team as their primary investor communication tool.
