He built an operational dashboard that pulled together multiple years of rainfall data, historical crop price fluctuations, and input cost estimates by crop type. The dashboard gave the family a structured basis for deciding which crops to grow each season, replacing informal pattern-matching with data-informed planning.
In parallel, he engaged export traders and distribution intermediaries for the family's regional fruit, moving sales from the local mandi to direct export channels. He negotiated vendor contracts for a waxing plant that extended shelf life, enabling the export-grade quality the new channels required.
He also conducted primary research with established farmers who had already set up polyhouse infrastructure, gathering specific operational insights on roof type selection, crop suitability, and productivity benchmarks. Those conversations directly shaped the polyhouse setup decisions, including the choice of a naturally ventilated roof design suited to the local climate.
