The Story
When Sahili joined Mili, the company's LinkedIn page had a small following. She owned the channel with no dedicated marketing team and no direct reports.
Early on, she tried to write every post to a high standard on her own, limiting AI tools and spending significant time on each piece. Her CEO pushed for speed over perfection, and she eventually made the shift: consistency over polish, prioritizing a good-enough post that went out over a perfect one that didn't.
She shared every post in Mili's main Slack channel as it went live, making her work visible to the whole team. She also posted regular updates from conferences and events in the group channel, so the broader team felt connected to the company's external presence even when they weren't there.
The approach served two purposes. It grew the LinkedIn audience meaningfully over her tenure. It also gave her a way to build trust with colleagues who did not report to her and had not asked for her help: by showing what she was working on and inviting them to engage, she created a natural entry point for collaboration.
