The Story

Sahili joined Mili as the seventh employee with no conference infrastructure in place. When the company's first major US conference came up, she applied for a visa immediately after being asked on her first call, and when it was rejected, she took on the challenge of running the entire event remotely.

She started with the longest lead-time items: ideating and commissioning all customized branded products so they would be ready in time. In parallel, she reached out to conference organizers for the participant list and began cold outreach to attendees, sending introductory and reminder emails before the event opened.

She designed a branded happy hour format as the centerpiece of Mili's conference presence. Attendees who visited the booth received exclusive entry tickets, creating a sense of access. The happy hour featured a curated grazing table, branded drinks, and games, all designed to create an informal setting for deeper conversations with prospects and investors.

She coordinated the US-based logistics partner on a regular cadence to stay on track across budget, activation, and scheduling. Post-event, she and the team followed up on warm leads within the week.

The playbook she built covered pre-conference outreach, booth activation, the happy hour, and post-conference lead follow-up. Mili used it across multiple subsequent conferences, and it remained in use after she left.
