The Story

Sabah joined Google India as Brand Manager, taking ownership of all consumer social channels: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Her mandate was to ensure that product messaging on these platforms was never an afterthought, and that it reflected both consumer behavior and the brand's established tone of voice.

The core challenge she identified was one of cultural perception. For an American brand operating in India, visibility only during major tentpole moments risked reinforcing the sense that the brand was not truly local. Sabah built a strategy around hyperlocal cultural moments, extending the brand's presence to regional festivals and weaving in Google's vernacular language capabilities as a proof point of genuine Indian relevance.

One of the GTMs she developed, centered on keeping traditions alive through technology, became a flagship initiative. It brought together the brand's language accessibility features and India's cultural diversity into a campaign framework that felt earned rather than opportunistic.

Across always-on editorial and campaign work, Sabah managed briefs across multiple product areas, each with different messaging requirements, creator allocations, and budget lines. She served as the first filter between product teams and creative agencies, translating technical briefs into creative direction and ensuring both sides felt heard.

She built and managed relationships with hundreds of creators, prioritizing authentic brand alignment over reach alone. She also coordinated across a creator agency, influencer agency, paid media agency, and sentiment analysis agency, holding the strategic thread across all of them.
