Overview

Saanvi was brought onto the TVS project as the lead on the leakage study, one of two parallel research tracks. The brief was straightforward: analyze a dataset of over 20,000 inquiries for the TVS Ronin and identify why sales were declining. What she did with it went further than the brief asked.

The Story

Saanvi was brought onto the TVS project as the lead on the leakage study, one of two parallel research tracks. The brief was straightforward: analyze a dataset of over 20,000 inquiries for the TVS Ronin and identify why sales were declining. What she did with it went further than the brief asked.

She started with the dataset TVS provided, which flagged consumer pain points including dissatisfaction with after-sales services. Rather than treating that as a conclusion, she treated it as a hypothesis to test. She cross-checked it against TVS's Instagram and LinkedIn pages, where she found a consistent pattern of complaints about after-sales experiences from real customers.

With that signal confirmed, she took the next step herself: she called consumers directly. The calls were productive. Customers were responsive and specific about what was going wrong. The after-sales service gap came through clearly and consistently across the conversations.

She designed the full research approach herself, running all three steps: dataset analysis, social media review, and direct consumer calls. The support team handled logistics, but the research design, the hypothesis, and the synthesis were hers.

TVS's reaction was notably positive. They had expected findings from the dataset alone. When Saanvi presented a root cause backed by social evidence and direct consumer testimony, they were impressed that she had gone beyond what they handed her.
