The Story

Saanvi worked on the Dexter Ventures project through her consulting role at SRCC, where she was part of a team tasked with evaluating seven B2B sectors for investment potential. Her specific workstream was mapping government schemes across all seven sectors, a task she owned independently.

The research involved pulling together policy documents, industry reports, financial data, and adoption trends for each sector. She was not working from a pre-built framework. She built her own view on what made a sector investable, looking for evidence of structural growth rather than short-term momentum.

The government schemes mapping became a key input into the final recommendation. Saanvi's analysis showed that sectors with strong policy backing and rising digital adoption had more durable growth profiles than those driven by temporary demand. Three sectors emerged with year-on-year growth of 20 to 30%, all supported by a combination of government initiatives and digital transformation tailwinds.

When the Dexter founder asked the team to name the single most important evaluation criterion, Saanvi answered from her own research process: government backing, because it signaled both scalability and safety. The founder found the answer directly aligned with what he was looking for.

She presented findings directly to the founder in weekly meetings and in the final presentation, which she led.
