The Story

Saanvi joined KPMG India as a Business Consulting Intern and was placed on a project for a UAE-based diagnostics company. The client needed a competitive benchmarking analysis to understand how rivals were pricing their services and what was driving those pricing decisions.

Her role was in the primary research workstream. She designed the questionnaires and conducted the competitor calls herself, reaching out to diagnostic companies in the UAE to gather data on their pricing strategies, service offerings, and business models.

The calls surfaced a finding that the secondary data had not made clear: pricing in the UAE diagnostics market was heavily driven by two factors, turnaround time on reports and the availability of home collection services. Companies offering faster turnaround or home collection were pricing at a premium, and customers were willing to pay for it.

Saanvi organized these findings into a structured dataset and fed them into the competitive benchmarking output. The insights directly shaped the pricing recommendations the team gave to the client, helping them understand both where to set their prices and what service additions could justify a higher price point.

She worked directly under the Vice President of the M&A consulting department, presenting her research findings and structuring them into the final client deliverable.
