The Story
Rashi was responsible for presenting a full operational model for a South African infrastructure client, covering a PPP procurement structure, a PPP versus PSC comparison, and a value-for-money analysis. The audience was the client's senior team, joining over a remote call, and the material was technically dense, spanning procurement economics, comparative financing structures, and detailed rate calculations.
The presentation required more than talking through slides. As she walked the client through the model, one section, the effective rates output sheet, surfaced questions the client's team wanted to dig into on the spot. Rather than improvising a answer to a methodology question that hadn't been fully settled, Rashi addressed it directly in the moment: she explained the reasoning behind the current approach, was clear about where the methodology was still open, and proposed a dedicated follow-up session rather than papering over the gap.
She then led that follow-up call herself, walking the client's team through the different methodology options for deriving the effective rate, responding to their specific concerns, and adjusting her explanation until both sides converged on an approach. The team then rebuilt the sheet to match what had been agreed.
Across both calls, the engagement demonstrated an ability to present complex financial modeling clearly to a senior, non-local audience, hold her ground on technical accuracy under real-time questioning, and adapt her communication approach until the client fully understood and accepted the output.
