Associate Team Lead
Anzy Global • 2020 - 2021
Overview
Puja took on a front-end engineering role at a startup client that had already been assigned to a different team and gone unfilled. She sourced candidates, ran the pitch, and closed the position herself.
The Story
Puja was working at Anzy Careers when a front-end engineering search came to her that had already been handed to a different team, without a result.
She took the mandate and started sourcing directly, using her usual mix of LinkedIn Recruiter, Instahire, and Naukri to build a candidate pool for the niche technical role.
As with her other senior searches, she focused on pitching the client's story clearly: what the company did, its funding stage, and the growth opportunity for the candidate, rather than relying on the role description alone to generate interest.
She stayed close to the process through screening and scheduling, keeping candidates engaged through what she has described as the hardest part of senior sourcing: holding their interest while they interview elsewhere.
The role was eventually closed with a candidate she had sourced and shepherded through the process.
