Priyansha completed the FinShiksha Financial Markets Exposure Program during her MBA at IIM Shillong. The program had two components: active portfolio management against a major index, and a structured equity research project.
The Story
Priyansha completed the FinShiksha Financial Markets Exposure Program during her MBA at IIM Shillong. The program had two components: active portfolio management against a major index, and a structured equity research project.
For the research component, she built DCF models for companies across two sectors of the Indian economy and authored multiple research reports covering both sector-level and company-specific analysis. The work required her to form and defend independent views on valuation and sector outlook.
She also managed a virtual investment portfolio throughout the program, assessed on the same metrics used to evaluate mutual funds: performance relative to the index rather than absolute returns.
Her presentation of the DCF analysis was recognized as strong, and she won the associated case competition component of the program.
