NIIF Coreity Implementation: Building ESG Data Infrastructure

Preeti joined NIIF's ESG team at a point where the fund's portfolio data was fragmented and inconsistently collected across a broad, multi-sectoral set of companies. The mandate was to bring structure to how ESG data flowed from portfolio companies to the fund.

She led the implementation of the Coreity SaaS platform, taking on the full scope of the rollout: onboarding portfolio companies, training them on the platform, and defining the specific data points each sector required. This was not a technical deployment alone. Many companies did not know what data they held or in what form, so Preeti worked directly with them to build the internal structures that would allow consistent, frequency-based data input.

Once the data pipeline was in place, she built the analytics layer within Coreity, enabling the fund to compare performance across portfolio companies, identify discrepancies, and trace trends over time. When anomalies surfaced, she went back to the companies to understand the root cause, whether a calculation error, a reporting gap, or a genuine performance shift.

The result was a materially more reliable ESG data infrastructure. Data quality improved significantly, the collection process became streamlined and repeatable, and the fund gained the ability to analyze portfolio-wide ESG performance in a structured way for the first time.
