The Story
Pranjal joined Primus Partners as a full-time consultant on a government advisory engagement with the Ministry of Education. His manager was based in Kolkata; the client was in Delhi and Noida. He was the sole point of contact on the ground.
The engagement centered on a scholarship program for which Primus was building a digital disbursement portal. While the platform was in development, donations from sponsors needed to reach eligible students manually. Pranjal designed and ran that process from scratch.
He went to the headquarters of the target school, gathered student data, and applied eligibility filters in Excel across marks, gender, and geography to produce a shortlist. He then distributed application forms to eligible students, collected and verified their documents, and tracked each disbursement. He managed a substantial volume of scholarship disbursements through this manual process.
In parallel, he attended tech requirement meetings, maintained a running log of product changes and cost structures, and kept the Minister's office informed and engaged throughout. The relationship he built with the client was strong enough that when he moved to his next role, the client served as his reference.
