Overview

Pranav built the team's modeling and due diligence framework without being asked. He kept seeing the same avoidable mistakes across different analysts' work: inconsistent formatting, hardcoded numbers where formulas should have been, and missing checks before outputs went to clients.

The Story

Pranav built the team's modeling and due diligence framework without being asked. He kept seeing the same avoidable mistakes across different analysts' work: inconsistent formatting, hardcoded numbers where formulas should have been, and missing checks before outputs went to clients.

He built the initial version himself, drawing on what he'd seen go wrong across multiple mandates. The framework set a consistent structure and quality bar so the same standard applied across different analysts and different deals, rather than everyone building things their own way.

Once it existed, he owned keeping it current. When the process improved, it was usually because he caught a new failure mode in his own work or in reviewing someone else's, and he updated the framework directly. He wasn't waiting on a manager to approve every change. He had ownership of keeping it live and relevant.

The framework became the standard the team used for incoming analysts. When Pranav moved into the Senior Analyst role, training new analysts on the framework became a formal part of his responsibilities, which was one of the reasons cited for his early promotion.
