The Story
Parth owned the investor targeting process end to end at Verity, supporting capital market transactions for UBS clients.
The process began with pulling ownership data from FactSet for a target company and its competitors. He analyzed which institutional investors were underweight in the target company relative to their positions in comparable names, then ranked them from highest to lowest underweight to identify the most actionable targets for the client's pitch.
The output was a PowerPoint presentation that showed the prioritized investor list alongside breakdowns by geography, investment type, and investment strategy. He built the visualizations using pie charts and graphs to make the targeting rationale immediately legible to the deal team and client.
This work fed directly into pitchbooks and roadshow materials, helping clients understand which investors to approach and why, based on their existing portfolio positioning rather than generic outreach lists.
