Parth identified three recurring friction points in his team's workflow at Verity and built systems to address each of them.
The Story
Parth identified three recurring friction points in his team's workflow at Verity and built systems to address each of them.
The first was the weekly league table deliverable. The team was producing investment bank league tables for the EMEA and global regions every week, covering deal volume, number of leads, and year-on-year comparisons. Parth built a fully automated refresh model where the data pulls directly into the output tables each week, eliminating the manual rebuild that had been required previously.
The second was financial statement extraction. Clients were increasingly requesting audited numbers sourced directly from annual reports rather than from data platforms. He designed a Microsoft Copilot prompt that, when given a company's annual report, reconstructs the exact financial statements into Excel with correct formatting and line items, saving significant manual extraction time.
The third was a custom filtering tool. A client needed to apply multiple simultaneous filters to a data dump and have the matching entries populate automatically. Standard Excel filters do not support multiple values in a single filter field, so Parth wrote VBA code and macros that allowed the client to input multiple criteria and have all qualifying entries surface below the filter automatically.
Across all three, the pattern was the same: identify where the team or client was doing repetitive manual work, and build a system that removes that friction without sacrificing accuracy.
