The Story
Nisha took on the fasteners industry research project as the sole owner, from the initial brief through to the final client recommendation.
She started with the global picture. She mapped how many countries had meaningful fasteners manufacturing activity, tracked global CAGR, and then narrowed to the Indian market, where she found growth rates she described as admirable. This gave the client a sense of the macro tailwind before any company-level work began.
From there, she moved into peer company analysis across five companies, including Sundaram Fasteners Limited and Kaloti Fasteners, mixing publicly listed and private players. She ran SWOT analysis on the industry as a whole, covering the structural strengths, risks, and competitive dynamics that would shape any investment in the space.
The recommendation she landed on was grounded in the client's existing portfolio. The client already operated in a business adjacent to fasteners, meaning an investment in the sector would allow them to source raw materials internally and reduce costs. Nisha built her conclusion around that strategic fit, not just the standalone attractiveness of the industry.
The client invested.
