Nilam spent a year at Ventura Securities building research coverage across roughly 50 listed companies in the hospitality, healthcare, chemicals, logistics, and FMCG sectors. The work was broad by design: the team needed to cover a wide universe and produce investment-grade output for institutional and HNI clients.
She built integrated three-statement financial models, DCF valuations, and trading comparable analyses for each company she covered. Alongside the modeling, she authored over 25 investment memorandums and thematic research reports, covering company fundamentals, valuation, industry trends, macroeconomic developments, and geopolitical factors.
She attended over 100 quarterly earnings calls, tracking financial performance against investment assumptions and engaging with management teams to refine valuation outlooks. She also conducted primary research through direct interactions with more than 20 company management teams and industry experts, gathering insight into competitive dynamics, growth strategies, and long-term industry trends.
Screening was done using ROCE, free cash flow, valuation multiples, and profitability metrics, with coverage prioritized based on business quality and long-term value creation potential.
