The Story
Manish joined BitClass as a software developer and took on several foundational engineering challenges as the platform scaled.
He built the first version of the recommendation engine, designed to drive product-led growth through personalized user experiences. This was a zero-to-one build, establishing the core logic that would shape how users discovered content on the platform.
He also redesigned the payout architecture, introducing a single source of truth model to eliminate data redundancy and inconsistencies that had accumulated in the previous system. He implemented a fan-out approach to optimize payout calculations, significantly reducing processing time and system bugs.
Additionally, he revamped the certification service to support multiple certificate types and built the initial version of the invoice service, enabling automated tax compliance and support for diverse agreement types. He also contributed to the migration from a monolithic to a microservices architecture.
