The Story

Kavya designed and ran a primary research survey on public awareness of arbitration as an alternative to court-based dispute resolution. The context was her legal background and an interest in understanding whether online arbitral platforms had a realistic user base.

She targeted people who were actively dealing with legal disputes through the court system, the population most likely to benefit from knowing about arbitration. She collected responses from 100 to 200 participants, gathering data on awareness levels, familiarity with the process, and openness to alternatives.

The findings were clear: arbitration was not widely understood, even among people who were already navigating legal processes. She structured her report around the key questions the survey was designed to answer: how many people knew about arbitration, how many did not, what the practical benefit of awareness would be, and what channels could close the knowledge gap.

The final output was a structured report with a conclusion grounded in the survey data, not a data dump but a narrative that answered the research question directly.
