At Bespoke Connections, Kartik owned the manager selection pipeline as an Associate. His mandate was to identify fund managers who were actively fundraising and likely to benefit from Bespoke's investor network, then qualify them and bring them into the firm's pipeline.

At Bespoke Connections, Kartik owned the manager selection pipeline as an Associate. His mandate was to identify fund managers who were actively fundraising and likely to benefit from Bespoke's investor network, then qualify them and bring them into the firm's pipeline.
He ran this process largely independently. He would identify managers approaching their first close, a deliberate targeting choice: managers at that stage are most motivated to engage with placement support because they need to move quickly. First-close timing was his primary filter.
From there, he would get on an initial call with the manager, understand their fund strategy, asset class, target LP base, and fundraising timeline, and then assess whether Bespoke's investor connections were a credible fit. If they were, he would pitch Bespoke's value proposition and move the manager into the active pipeline.
Over the course of his time at Bespoke, he ran this process across a large volume of fund managers, spanning venture capital, private equity, and other alternative asset classes.
