He analyzed the target company in depth, identifying the financial, commercial, and operational information required for diligence. He prepared the information request list, coordinated inputs across the team, and tracked outstanding items to ensure nothing fell through.
The experience gave him direct exposure to how a live transaction progresses and how small gaps in information can affect the quality of an investment assessment. He had to be precise and attentive to detail throughout, as incomplete information at any stage could affect the conclusions drawn from the diligence process.
