About Think9

Think9 is an India-focused venture studio that builds consumer businesses with founders. It serves startups and emerging brands by combining consumer insights, strategy, design, execution, mentorship, and growth capital. Through its Bharat Darshan research and full-stack support, Think9 helps launch and scale brands that fit changing Indian consumer habits.

About the Role

Think9 is a venture studio — which means the design work here is not decorative. Every wireframe, every prototype, every research insight feeds directly into what gets built and shipped for real consumer businesses. This is the first dedicated product design seat at Think9, replacing a previous hire, and the bar is higher this time.

Sanaya, who leads design at Think9, runs a process-committed studio: research first, iterative refinement through wireframing and prototyping, then production. The person in this seat owns that full arc — not just the execution layer, but the thinking behind it. Speed matters. So does the evidence behind every decision.

What You'll Own

  • The end-to-end design process across Think9's consumer businesses — from user research and psychological insight through wireframing, prototyping, and final production.
  • User research that goes beyond the surface. You'll design and run research that surfaces the behavioral and psychological drivers behind what users do — not just what they report.
  • The wireframing and prototyping pipeline. Speed and structure, both. You'll own the cadence from first sketch to testable prototype.
  • Decision documentation. Every design choice backed by visible thinking — so Sanaya and the broader team can trace the logic, not just see the output.
  • Testing accuracy. You'll shape how Think9 validates designs before production — tighter feedback loops, fewer expensive late-stage revisions.
  • The design standard for the studio. As the first dedicated product designer, the process you establish becomes the baseline for how Think9 builds.

You'll Be A Great Fit If

  • You've come up in a design studio — you know what it means to run a full design process from brief to production, not just hand off screens.
  • Your research goes deeper than surveys. You think about why users behave the way they do, not just what they do — and your work shows it.
  • You back every design decision with visible thinking. Stakeholders can trace the logic from insight to wireframe to final output.
  • You move fast without cutting corners on the foundation. You know the difference between speed that compounds and speed that creates rework.
  • You're comfortable working across multiple consumer products or brands at once — context-switching is a feature of how you work, not a bug.
  • You've worked closely with a founder or a senior design lead and know how to take direction while holding your own point of view.
  • You're self-directed on a remote setup. You don't need a daily check-in to stay on track — you surface blockers early and keep the process moving.
  • You have an instinct for consumer behavior in India — what people actually want, not just what they say they want.

How We Work

  • Start with the foundation. Research is not a box to check — it's where the real work begins. Every project starts there.
  • Show your thinking. Decisions without evidence don't land here. Document the why behind every design choice.
  • Commit to the process, not just the output. The path from research to wireframe to production is iterative. Respect each stage.
  • Move with urgency. Prototyping speed matters. Get to testable fast, then refine.
  • Work across contexts. Think9 runs multiple consumer businesses. Adapt quickly, carry your process with you.
  • Own your remote setup. Fully remote means you manage your own rhythm. Surface blockers early; don't wait for someone to ask.

The Opportunity

Seed-stage venture studio with real consumer businesses in production. Fully remote. ₹6–8L per year, open to discussion for the right depth. This is a founding design seat — the process you build here becomes the standard the studio runs on.
