About Serve Society

Serve Society exists because sport in India has been undersold. Most people who want to play have nowhere worth going: no premium courts, no real coaching, no community that keeps showing up. Serve Society is building that infrastructure, city by city, sport by sport.

The ecosystem spans Padel and Pickleball courts, Academies with nationally ranked coaches, HYROX and hybrid training, Pilates, recovery, cafes, and a tournament and events calendar that puts creators, founders, and athletes on the same court.

The company is Seed-stage, live across Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and Delhi, and founded by operators who believe the next generation of Indians will move more, compete more, and build their social lives around sport.

About the Role

As Customer Growth Manager at Serve Society, you will own the full customer lifecycle, from the first inbound lead to repeat enrolment and referral.

You will manage every conversion touchpoint across Academies, Padel, Pickleball, HYROX, Pilates, and events, then build the outbound and retention systems that compound the base. The role asks for sharp communication, the ability to read different customer types, and the commercial instinct to act without a script.

You will report directly to the founders and work on-site in Mumbai.

What You'll Own

Inbound conversion across all products. Call every lead, qualify them, recommend the right product, handle objections, close the enrolment, collect payment.

Outbound and reactivation. Work dormant leads, lapsed customers, referral loops, corporate outreach, and event-led acquisition to build pipeline beyond inbound.

Retention and the post-sale relationship. Onboard new customers properly, check in regularly, and bring back anyone who goes quiet.

Cross-sell across the ecosystem. Move Academy students into tournaments, Pilates clients into racket sports, and HYROX athletes into memberships.

The conversion numbers. Own speed-to-lead, contact rate, conversion by product, batch fill, and revenue per lead. Report on them without being asked.

The growth function itself. Build the follow-up systems, test new acquisition channels, and tell the founders what is working and what to change.

Signs You'll Be A Great Fit

Worked in sport, fitness, or community. You have spent time in an environment where the product is an experience and the customer is a guest, not a transaction.

Built rapport before closing. Your conversion record comes from relationships, not scripts. People pick up when you call back.

Read different customer types quickly. You modulate your approach based on who is on the other end of the conversation, not a fixed pitch.

Owned a number without a manager chasing it. You tracked your own metrics, spotted the drop-off, and fixed it before anyone asked.

Iterated in a fast, unstructured environment. You have worked somewhere with no established playbook and built one yourself.

Genuinely passionate about sport. You follow it, play it, or have built something around it. That context shapes how you talk to the people we serve.

How We Work

Start with the customer, always. Every decision, every conversation, every system you build begins with what is right for the guest in front of you.

Own the outcome end to end. Pick up the problem, carry it to resolution, and report back. Handoffs are the exception, not the default.

Iterate from day one. Observe, absorb, and start changing things immediately. Waiting for permission is not the pace here.

Ask for help openly. The team is small and moves fast. Asking is a sign of intent, not weakness.

Be present at the centres. The best conversations happen on court. You close better when you have watched the coaching you are selling.

Report what you see. Send the founder the weekly note: what converted, what did not, and what you want to change next.

The Opportunity

Cash compensation of ₹5.3L to ₹7L a year. ESOPs are on the table for the right person, on a standard vesting schedule. You report directly to the founders and own the entire customer growth function. The role gives you the mandate to build a commercial function from the ground up at a Seed-stage company defining a new category in Indian sport.
