Lead Product Manager, Devices

The company is headquartered in San Francisco and operates across four continents, with offices in Bengaluru, Dublin, London, New York, Singapore, Sydney, and Toronto.

As Lead Product Manager for Rippling Devices, you will own the roadmap for a product that combines device-management software with global hardware operations. Companies use it to purchase, configure, secure, recover, store, and reuse employee computers.

You will decide what the team builds, translate business priorities into product requirements, make technical and commercial trade-offs, and lead execution with engineering and design in Bengaluru.

The role requires depth in device management, endpoint security, operating-system policy, and hardware logistics, along with the ability to align product leadership in the US around the roadmap.

You will own how companies purchase, configure, secure, recover, and reuse employee computers.

• Purchase and setup. Build the rules that determine which device an employee receives, connect those rules to resellers and existing inventory, and automate configuration before the device arrives.

• Device management and security. Set the roadmap for the Rippling Agent, including enrollment, encryption, biometric security, operating-system policies, software installation, compliance monitoring, remote locking, and remote wiping.

• Global logistics. Expand the product across countries by solving for hardware availability, shipping, returns, warehousing, data residency, and local compliance.

• Retrieval and reuse. Build the workflows that recover devices from departing employees, assess their condition, store them securely, and route them to the next employee who needs one.

• Cross-platform management. Extend the product across macOS and Windows while accounting for the enrollment, policy, security, and administration differences between operating systems.

• Product direction. Use customer evidence, product data, technical constraints, and commercial priorities to set the roadmap and explain the decisions behind it.

• Built products in device or identity management. You have shipped in MDM, endpoint management, or identity and access, at companies like Esper, Hexnode, Jamf, Okta, JumpCloud, or within device teams at Google, Microsoft, or Apple.
• Carry deep technical fluency. You have an engineering background and can hold a substantive conversation about MDM protocols, device enrollment, certificate management, and OS-level policy enforcement.
• Owned complex, multi-surface workflows. You have managed a product with many moving parts: hardware, software, compliance, and operations intersecting in a single flow.
• Made calls with incomplete information. When the GM says the product needs to be live in three months, you know how to scope, sequence, and ship without waiting for a perfect brief.
• Operated at startup pace inside a structured org. You have worked where urgency is the default, not the exception, and you have the outcomes to show for it.
• Held the US-India interface. You have worked across time zones with stakeholders, customers, or engineering counterparts based in the US, and kept alignment without friction.

• Domain judgment. Understand the technical and customer constraints deeply to ask the right questions and make decisions grounded in evidence.
• End-to-end ownership. Own the work from problem definition and scoping through technical decisions, launch, and customer adoption.
• Written alignment. Document important decisions so engineering, design, and business stakeholders understand the direction and the reasoning behind it.
• In-person collaboration. Work with the team in the Bengaluru office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
• Shared ownership. Take responsibility for work across product boundaries when it affects the customer outcome.
• Speed with quality. Move quickly while maintaining the security and reliability required from software that controls company devices.

This is the first Devices product role based in India, with ownership across a global product line. You will report directly to the US-based GM of IT Cloud and work with teams across Bengaluru and the US.
