About GM Markets
Most trading products make complexity the user's problem. GM Markets is built on the belief that serious financial instruments, tokenized equities, perpetual futures, and options, should be as intuitive as any great consumer app.
The product is a global on-chain trading platform that brings together tokenized stocks, ETFs, and derivatives in one place. The bet is that the next generation of traders will expect both the depth of a professional terminal and the clarity of a great mobile experience.
GM Markets is Seed-stage, founder-led, and fully remote. The team is small, moves fast, and operates with high ownership across every function.
About the Role
As Product & Graphics Designer at GM Markets, you will own the design of a multi-instrument trading platform spanning tokenized equities, perpetual futures, and options.
You will set the visual and interaction language across web and mobile, run weekly user research to find where traders get stuck, and restructure flows when the evidence calls for it. The role asks for derivatives domain depth and the craft to make complex instruments feel simple.
You will work directly with the founder and collaborate with the broader team async, with daily stand-ups as the primary sync touchpoint.
What You'll Own
- End-to-end product design. Own the design system, interaction patterns, and visual language across web and mobile.
- The derivatives interface. Design the perps, futures, and options trading experience, covering order entry, position management, and risk display.
- Weekly user research. Talk to new users every week, identify where they get stuck, and translate findings into prioritized design changes.
- Information architecture. Decide how traders navigate a multi-instrument product without getting lost in its complexity.
- Rapid delivery. Take a brief to a shipped design in two to three weeks, owning the output end to end.
- The visual identity. Maintain and evolve the product's graphic and brand design alongside the core UX work.
You'll Be A Great Fit If
- Shipped a derivatives or complex trading interface. You have designed perps, futures, or options flows and understand what a trader expects at each step.
- Fintech or crypto product background. You have worked on financial products, whether at a firm, freelancing, or contracting, and know the domain without needing to learn the ropes.
- Obsessed with minimalist design. Your instinct is to remove, not add; you make complex products feel simple without hiding what traders need.
- Runs user research as a habit. You talk to users regularly, read between the lines of what they say, and let findings reshape the product.
- Owns delivery fast. You have taken a product brief to a shipped design in a matter of weeks, without a large team behind you.
- Brings Silicon Valley design craft. Your work reflects the interaction quality and visual precision of the best B2C consumer products, applied to financial tools.
- Comfortable restructuring. When research shows the architecture is wrong, you rebuild it rather than patch it.
How We Work
- Ship in weeks, not quarters. The team moves fast; a brief becomes a shipped design in two to three weeks.
- Own the problem, not just the brief. Take a question from discovery to delivered output without waiting to be directed.
- Talk to users every week. User research is a standing habit, not a project phase; new users, every week.
- Default to async. Work gets done in your own time and timezone; daily stand-ups are the one fixed sync point.
- Pull in the team when it matters. For product strategy and launches, get on a call; for everything else, move independently.
- Use AI as a working tool. The team operates AI-natively; bring that into your design and research workflow.
The Opportunity
Cash compensation of ₹50L to ₹70L per year. ESOPs are available and allocated based on performance, typically assessed three to four months after joining. You work fully remote, India or US timezone, with high ownership from day one across the full product design surface.
