About the Role
As HRBP at Emergent, you will own specific people problems within a business function, turning HR knowledge into practical changes that support business goals.
Your remit spans retention, workforce planning, organization design, and recurring HR processes amid rapid growth. The work requires HR generalist skills and the judgment to adapt established practices to the business context.
What You'll Own
- People problem diagnosis. Identify priorities within your function using people data and stakeholder conversations.
- Retention interventions. Investigate attrition patterns and put targeted changes into practice.
- Workforce and organization plans. Shape manager requirements, reporting structures, and spans of control as teams grow.
- Recurring HR processes. Run the function's HR cycles, including performance and employee engagement processes.
- Intervention results. Track what changes after implementation and assess whether the people problem is being resolved.
Signs You'll Be A Great Fit
- Applied HR fundamentals across problems. You adapted people practices to the business context across core HR areas.
- Changed outcomes through HR work. You can connect an intervention to what improved for employees or the business.
- Built or adapted people processes. You created useful structure as teams grew and their requirements changed.
- Diagnosed patterns in people data. You combined analysis with employee and manager conversations to identify causes.
- Solved problems independently. You asked focused questions, set priorities, and executed amid ambiguity.
- Used AI tools in your work. You explored new tools and applied them to solve practical problems.
- Built credibility with stakeholders. You earned trust through the quality and impact of your work with business teams.
How We Work
- Connect HR choices to business goals. Start with what the function must achieve and shape people interventions around it.
- Investigate before choosing a fix. Read the data and speak with employees and managers to understand the causes.
- Create enough structure to act. Ask focused questions, choose practical next steps, and move work forward.
- Show what changed. Evaluate work through its effect on the problem you set out to solve.
- Explore AI in everyday work. Try tools that help you analyze, organize, or execute work more effectively.
- Work alongside business teams. Build context and stakeholder relationships through on-site collaboration in Bengaluru.
The Opportunity
You will build practical answers to people challenges as an AI company scales, working closely with business stakeholders. The work gives you breadth across HR disciplines and room to apply established practices in new situations. You gain experience connecting people decisions to business priorities and seeing your interventions through to their effects.
