About Elixir
Consumer credit cards have barely moved in a decade. Travel points, airport lounges, the same tired reward loops. Elixir is building something structurally different: the financial services layer for health as a category, starting with a wellness-first credit card and a marketplace that rewards how you actually live.
The company launched its prepaid card in January and scaled to 25,000 cards fast enough to validate the core value proposition. The prepaid form factor is a stepping stone. The destination is a credit card product, already in motion with bank partnerships in place, sitting on top of a commerce and recommendations layer that connects users to gyms, protein, nutrition supplements, fitness wearables, and athleisure at better reward rates.
The founding team comes from Bain. The problem they're solving sits at the intersection of two of the decade's biggest consumer trends: the rise of wellness as a spending category and the shift to AI-native product experiences. Neither is being served well by the incumbents.
A new category in consumer fintech. Built from Bengaluru, for the generation that takes their health seriously.
About the Role
Elixir launched its prepaid card in January and hit 25,000 cards. The card works. The value proposition is validated. What isn't cracked yet is the app: the engagement layer, the health-contextual commerce experience, the recommendations engine that makes the right product feel obvious to the right user at the right moment.
This is the founding PM seat for that problem. The credit card infrastructure is being built in parallel with bank partners already in place. Your domain is the consumer layer on top: the app, the rewards and redemption experience, and the marketplace that connects users to gyms, protein, supplements, wearables, and athleisure at better rates. You'll work directly with the founder, own the product direction within the company's strategic frame, and build the engagement and commerce playbook from scratch.
What You'll Own
- The consumer app experience — every screen, flow, and interaction a user has with their card, rewards, and health data. The basics exist; making them sticky is the job.
- The engagement and retention playbook — figure out what brings a health-conscious user back daily, not just when they transact. Build the hypothesis, test it, own the outcome.
- The rewards and redemption layer — how users earn, understand, and spend their points across gyms, supplements, wearables, and athleisure. The commerce logic and the UX are both yours.
- The health commerce marketplace — the product that connects users to the right brands and products at better rates, with recommendations that feel earned, not pushed.
- AI-driven personalization — define what the recommendation engine actually does for a runner versus a lifter versus someone just starting out. The architecture is yours to shape.
- User insight and product direction — bring the founder the user truth that shapes what gets built next. Your read on behavior is the input to strategy, not a downstream output of it.
- The 0-to-1 engagement model — there is no playbook yet. You write it.
You'll Be A Great Fit If
- You've built consumer products at a company where engagement and retention were existential — not a nice-to-have. Zomato, District, or Ultrahuman-tier ownership culture is the reference point.
- You understand how a younger, health-conscious consumer makes purchase decisions — the trust dynamics in supplements and nutrition, the identity layer in athleisure and wearables, the difference between a runner who wants ASICS and one who wants Hoka.
- You've worked inside a marketplace or commerce product and can name the specific conversion levers you owned, not just the team you were part of.
- You live in user behavior data. When engagement drops, you have a hypothesis before the standup ends — and you know how to test it without building a feature first.
- You have a point of view on how AI changes the consumer interface, grounded in what actually works today, not what sounds good in a pitch. Agentic flows, advisory layers, recommendation logic — you've thought through where the real leverage is.
- You execute without waiting for the roadmap to be perfect. You've shipped things that were 80% right, learned fast, and iterated. You don't confuse planning with building.
- You have a genuine spike — something you're exceptionally good at or deeply passionate about, inside or outside of work. Flat generalists who are okay at everything don't thrive here.
- You're comfortable being the only PM for the first stretch, working directly with the founder, and earning trust through the quality of your user insights and the sharpness of your prioritization.
How We Work
- Own your domain completely. The founder sets the strategic direction; within that, the product is yours. Bring user truth, not just roadmap slides.
- Prioritize ruthlessly. A fancier feature that doesn't move the needle is a distraction. Know the difference between what's interesting and what matters.
- Execute first, scale later. Ship something that works before you build the system around it. Execution is the proof of conviction.
- Stay grounded in the user. Recommendations, commerce, engagement — all of it lives or dies on whether you actually understand how a 26-year-old who runs half-marathons thinks about spending on their health.
- Work from the office. The team is on-site in Bengaluru. Proximity is how we move fast and stay aligned.
- Bring depth, not breadth. We'd rather you be exceptional at one thing and strong at the rest than average across the board.
The Opportunity
Competitive cash between 30L and 50L, with equity negotiated individually based on the person and the role — this is a founding seat, and the equity conversation reflects that. You're joining at the moment the category is being defined, with bank partnerships in place and 25,000 validated users already on the card.
