About Aisle
Serious relationships in India have always lived at two extremes: matrimony platforms built for parents, and casual dating apps built for swipes. Aisle was built for the space between them — date-to-marry, for urban India, on its own terms.
The company runs a portfolio of four brands — Aisle, Anbe, Neetho, and Arike — each built for a distinct community and language. Arike, built for the Malayalam community, is already proving the thesis: India is not one market, and the right product for each community looks different. The platform serves urban India today — Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune — with T1.5 and NRI markets opening next.
Fifty people. A lean team that has built the product foundation, the data ecosystem, and the SPM layer from nothing in three years. A category Aisle largely defined, and a portfolio built to go deeper into every corner of it.
About the Role
Aisle sits in a category it largely defined: serious relationships for urban India, positioned between matrimony platforms and casual dating apps. Three years ago there was no product team, no data ecosystem, no product infrastructure. That foundation has been built. The team has been upgraded to SPMs. The next 50 to 70% year-on-year growth only comes from product.
This is the seat that decides what that product looks like. Reporting directly to the Business Head, you'll co-own the vision for the House of Aisle portfolio — four vernacular brands, each built for a distinct community — and lead a team of SPMs who are ready to be pushed to the next level. The role is fifty-fifty execution and leadership today, shifting toward sixty-forty as the team matures. You'll set the vision in the boardroom and go deep at ground level to make it real.
What You'll Own
The product vision for the House of Aisle. Co-create the multi-year roadmap across all four brands — Aisle, Anbe, Neetho, Arike — and own the strategic bets the business runs on.
The portfolio expansion thesis. Define how Aisle goes deeper into new regions and communities: what each brand needs to look like for its market, and where the next vernacular bet gets placed.
The recommendation system build. The biggest product project of the year is a data-science-heavy recommendation engine. You'll own the vision and the outcome, working hands-on with the team to ship it.
The next engagement disruption. After the recommendation system lands, the question becomes: what is the equivalent of the swipe for serious relationships in India? You'll set the direction and prototype the answer.
The SPM team's growth. Three SPMs who are ready for the next level. You'll lead by example, set the bar, and build the operating rhythms that turn a good team into a great one.
The product narrative for the board and investors. Vision grounded in data, presented to leadership, board members, and investor teams. You'll own the story and the substance behind it.
You'll Be A Great Fit If
You've built and shipped consumer products at scale, hands-on. You've owned a surface end to end — not just the roadmap, but the execution — and you have the outcomes to show for it.
You understand how engagement works in social and consumer apps. You know what a story does, what a swipe does, and what the next disruption in interaction design might be. You think about social currency, not just features.
You've operated in a zero-to-one environment and thrived. No data ecosystem handed to you, no playbook on the shelf. You've built the systems and the thinking from scratch, and you know the difference between that and optimizing what already exists.
Your product thinking is grounded in user research and consumer psychology. When data runs thin, you go to users. You have a method for listening — research, experimentation, qualitative signal — and you trust it.
You can hold vision and execution at the same time. You present a sharp roadmap to a board and then sit with the team to make it real. The gap between strategy and shipped product is where you live.
You're comfortable being the most senior product voice in the room. You'll be setting the bar for a team of SPMs and representing product to the Business Head, investors, and board. You carry that weight without needing a layer above you to validate the call.
Consumer internet, social, marketplace, or subscription pedigree. Companies like CRED, Swiggy, ShareChat, Meesho, or any consumer product that has had to earn engagement at scale in India. Domain is not a hard gate; the depth of consumer thinking is.
How We Work
Lead by example, always. Seniority here is earned through execution, not tenure. The team watches what you do before it listens to what you say.
Go deep before going wide. Understand the problem at ground level before you build the solution. Groundwork is not beneath the role; it is the role.
Everything needed yesterday. The pace is real. If you need a fully built environment to move fast, this is the wrong room. If you thrive when the urgency is constant, it is the right one.
Ground every call in data and user voice. Intuition is welcome; intuition without evidence is not. When data is thin, go to users. When users are unclear, run the experiment.
Build the team by raising the bar. The SPMs are ready to be pushed. Your job is to show them what the next level looks like, not to protect them from it.
Think outside-in. The best product insight at Aisle will come from someone who watches what is happening in social, in AI, in adjacent consumer categories — and brings that lens to a dating app that has not seen it yet.
The Opportunity
