The Story
At Varidus, Jaswanth was tasked with building a portfolio fund model from scratch. The brief required him to conduct extensive market research across multiple industries, identify companies with high growth potential, and structure a model that mitigated investment risk.
He developed new market research strategies, using a range of sources to identify and evaluate potential partnership and investment opportunities. He worked cross-functionally with the team to validate his findings and refine the selection criteria.
He also designed and developed a pitch deck to present the fund model to potential investors, and assisted in a separate fundraising initiative by producing marketing collateral that received quick client approval with minimal revisions.
In parallel, he participated in a startup data analysis project using Power BI, examining tens of thousands of data points and conducting linear regression to identify critical success factors for startups. This gave him a quantitative foundation for the qualitative judgments he was making in the fund model.
