Overview
Jai worked on a project for a major MedTech company's Indian subsidiary as part of a broader PwC engagement. One workstream was to improve the efficiency of their sales process for high-value medical capital goods, where deals typically took around a month to close due to the complexity of pricing negotiations.
The Story
Jai worked on a project for a major MedTech company's Indian subsidiary as part of a broader PwC engagement. One workstream was to improve the efficiency of their sales process for high-value medical capital goods, where deals typically took around a month to close due to the complexity of pricing negotiations.
The core problem was visibility. The team was using a static Excel file that had to be emailed back and forth between the salesperson, the customer, and the pricing decision-maker. Each round of changes introduced delays, and no one had a live view of where a deal stood.
Jai built a Python-based web platform using Streamlit that gave all three parties real-time access to the same deal data. Changes made by any party were immediately visible to the others, eliminating the email loop and allowing pricing decisions to be made in the same session rather than across multiple exchanges.
After a pilot of a couple of months, the closing timeline shortened by two weeks. The regional monthly closing average increased by 22%.
