Overview
Pratiksha manages hiring across multiple business units at PhonePe at the same time, prioritizing by role urgency and running high-volume interview drives to close backfills fast.
The Story
Pratiksha handles recruiting for several PhonePe business units at once, including Core Payments, Symphony, and Merchant. When new roles open, she checks with each hiring manager on urgency, how long the role has been open, and the timeline before setting her priorities.
When a backfill needed to close quickly because an employee was serving notice, she moved that role to the top of her list ahead of less time-sensitive searches.
For urgent roles, she organizes interview drives: building a strong candidate pipeline in advance, lining up panels, and running full interview loops in a single day to compress the timeline. When two open roles shared the same tech stack, she sourced for both in parallel rather than sequencing them.
When a search stalls, she recalibrates with the hiring manager to check whether the profiles she is sourcing are off target, then adjusts her search strings and resumes sourcing with the corrected criteria.
