Overview

As Xander's industrial fund moved toward divestment, Arjan was given ownership of the due diligence process across four workstreams: tax, finance, compliance, and legal, as well as the full infrastructure documentation for the assets.

The Story

As Xander's industrial fund moved toward divestment, Arjan was given ownership of the due diligence process across four workstreams: tax, finance, compliance, and legal, as well as the full infrastructure documentation for the assets.

The buyer's team submitted a detailed list of technical and infrastructural items for each asset. Arjan cataloged every item, located the relevant documentation, and coordinated with internal teams to surface answers to the buyer's queries. Where documentation gaps existed, he identified them, filled the knowledge gap, and ensured the response was complete before the deal signing.

The infrastructure workstream was the most demanding. The transaction included a set of condition precedents, specific renovations, certifications, and drawings that had to be completed before signing. He managed the full execution of this list within a tight deadline: scoping what was feasible, building timelines and budgets, negotiating with vendors, and coordinating site visits to verify completion to the satisfaction of both Xander's technical team and the buyer's.

The work required sustained coordination across internal teams and external vendors under significant time pressure, with the deal signing as a hard deadline.
