Market Research and Underwriting at Gallagher and Mohan

Anuj joined Gallagher & Mohan as a Financial Analyst Intern, supporting the firm's real estate investment work focused on properties in Southern California.

His work sat at the intersection of market research and financial underwriting. He identified and sourced properties through online research, then pulled the financials for each asset and compared them against the broker's asking price to assess whether the deal made sense on the numbers.

Beyond the desk-based analysis, he contributed to on-the-ground surveys around target properties, gathering a read on the surrounding area, the state of the local market, and the income-generating potential of each asset. These surveys fed directly into the investment assessment.

He also developed skills in financial modeling and property underwriting, building his ability to evaluate key investment metrics and support the firm's client-facing work. His outputs were reported to the national head and directly informed client-facing investment decisions.
