The Story

Anshika manages the full KYC due diligence lifecycle for over a hundred clients at KPMG, spanning multiple jurisdictions including the US, UK, and UAE, and covering financial products ranging from mutual funds to private operating companies and trusts.

For each client, she builds the research picture from publicly available sources first: regulatory registries, annual reports, company filings, and sanctions databases. The discipline is deliberate. If a client can find the information publicly, going back to them for it wastes their time and damages trust. Only after exhausting public sources does she return to the client with a targeted list of what could not be verified.

Her risk assessment framework evaluates four dimensions: jurisdiction risk (with high-risk flags for locations such as the Cayman Islands), entity type (private operating companies require more scrutiny than publicly regulated ones), financial product complexity (trusts and endowments carry higher due diligence requirements than standard mutual funds), and sanctions and PEP screening results.

She manages her entire case portfolio in Salesforce, prioritizing by deadline so that clients approaching their compliance windows receive focused attention while longer-horizon cases progress in parallel. She also supports the backend operations team with research when needed, functioning as both the client-facing lead and a research resource for the wider team.
