The Story
Anshika was assigned to manage a private bank's client accounts flagged as UAE-sensitive, a jurisdiction known for stringent government-linked regulatory requirements. The accounts had stalled because the client and the internal team were not aligned on what information was needed, and the escalations were piling up.
She took ownership of direct client communication across all 50 escalations, positioning herself as the single point of contact between the client and the internal compliance and operations teams. Her first task was to exhaust every publicly available source before going back to the client, so that every outreach was precise and justified.
For each case, she built a structured risk picture by assessing jurisdiction exposure, entity type (private versus public operating company), financial product complexity, and sanctions and PEP screening results. Where the risk was genuinely ambiguous, she escalated to senior management and the compliance team with a clear summary of what she had found and what decision was needed.
Throughout the process, she kept the client experience intact. Stakeholders were satisfied with the quality of her analysis, and the accounts completed their trade cycles successfully, delivering a positive yield.
