Overview

The Story
Karan noticed a behavioral pattern in the web-search experience: users rarely navigated to the sources supporting their results. He formed a hypothesis that the interface did not make the source menu visible enough.
He collected product analytics to test that explanation and confirmed a discoverability problem. Users were often unaware that they could inspect the sources and navigate through them.
Karan identified and surfaced the issue rather than designing the final interface change. The product team made the sources more prominent, and usage analytics improved afterward.
