The Story
At Microbial Solutions, Ahmar was tasked with evaluating which international markets offered the strongest opportunity for Indian fertilizer exports, with a focus on Europe and Africa.
He built an internal framework from scratch to assess each country across multiple parameters: purchasing power, regulatory environment, growth rate, and market opportunity. He applied the framework across a set of countries spanning both regions, scoring and ranking them to produce a prioritized target list.
The analysis required him to understand not just the demand side in each market but also the supply-side constraints on India's end, including what India could realistically produce and export at scale within a multi-year horizon.
The output was a country prioritization report identifying which markets the company should target first, with a rationale grounded in market dynamics rather than geographic proximity or existing relationships.
